Alan: took a look at SODK since bad news stocks have made great shorts lately even well after the news was released: Now there is a stock that looks manipulated....they release info on 12-19 that says to expect a loss and the stock drops 20% and recovers most of it the same day. However, in the 2 months before the announcement, the stock had lost around 50% of its value. It is always a shame when the compnay is the last to tell the stockholders about what is going on. Interestingly, since the announcement the stock is actually up slightly -- probably since most of the bad news was one time charges unrelated to cash flow and since it had tanked so bad already....

The tone of the release was more along the lines of "Here is all the bad news and all of the possible bad news so that there is no more guessing..." My guess is that, absent more bad news, there does not appear to be much more short term downside risk....Probably not much short term upside potential either though...

Any particular reason for thinking it will tank more this week?
