Hi Chip, of I am reading your note correctly you too are also seeing the posibility of the FED engaging in a FED FUNDS increase today....... As you have noticed the US equity markets have done nothing during the Uber bullish time window 36 hours prior to a FED meeting where we normally see the market rally very smartly.
Also, yesterday's volume was the second lightest of the year.... which does not make sense for a market that should have been in rally mode. The lightest volume of the year was on Monday I believe.

The USD index has spent the last year going sideways and is towards the lower end of it's range.
Hence a rate rise is not currently set for a screaming USD rally



The British Pound has been having a bearish year.... look at how weak it's been relative to the JPY



The Media is so transfixed by all things REALPOLITIK.... that it's an ideal time for the FED to slip a surprise hike in.
