For the 39 weeks ended 8/97, net sales rose 74% to $21.3M. Net income before extra. item fell 35% to $2.2M. Revenues reflect volume increases and new product introductions. Earnings were offset by an increase in operating expense due to increased personnel and higher commission expense associated with increased sales levels. commissions eroded a 74 percent increase in sales? am i reading this wrong? does this imply their growth is not worth sustaining? digging deeper, any comments
