And here are the number for free cash flow of both companies for the last 3 years:

SNDK 2013: 1.65B, 2014: 1.47B, 2015: 624M
WDC 2013: 2.17B, 2014: 2.19B, 2015: 1.63B

As for SanDisk cashflow, benefit is being derived from the long tails of cash Eli spoke of 20 years ago. Earnings do not tell the true story, due to payment for product coming out of depreciated fabs, and not an appropriate focus point. Expenses on the earnings statement come back as cash.

Certainly more than enough free cash flow to service the debt levels currently contemplated.
