AIM: THE BIG PICTURE REPORT. AIM had us BUY into the AGGRESSIVE funds this week.as well as the NEW ASIA area. The overall groups were weak this past week. The average NEW ASIA funds were down 4% and the AGGRESSIVE funds were on average down 3.2%. AIM is getting some nice discounts at this level. Two weeks ago AIM made a BUY in the HITECH group and that might be starting to pay off.Last week the HITECH was the fourth best area behind PRECIOUS, UTILITIES, FINANCE,and LATIN. The EUROPEAN market is also reacting favorable since our most recent AIM buys. After two recent purchases the markets are starting to strengthen. The EUROPE funds on average is up 4% the past 6 weeks. The NEWPORT AIM charts are still showing very strong patterns for the FINANCE group. This will be the WINNER for the year in total return. As you know, we have been big fans of the FIANCE group this year. Your returns if you followed this thread should be in the 30-40% returns. Next AIM BUY? Looks like ENERGY. Any further weakness in that sector will produce a BUY. Gosh, another year is about to come to a close. Many predict that 1998 will be like 1994. That was a very tough year to make money. But if you follow AIM and INVEST N BEST you will have a better chance of producing profits. I can almost guarantee it.
