You are quite right, word is First quarter 98 for IPO, it all depends on the mkt. cond. though.
They do have a great future(check out Can.Bus.Jan.Edition) for the new info on upcoming projects.
Also, Rainmaker Digital Pictures is a attractive company. Word is, Discreet may be making a play, stay tuned!
