I am a former class action attorney, and have a "insider's" perspective on many of the issues you raise. Indeed, I discussed these matters at length on the Oxford thread a couple of weeks ago at Message 2961047. I'd be happy to continue this discussion in this forum, and to answer any questions that may be raised about the class action process as best I can. Best wishes to all for the New Year!
