February just blew all the heat records right through the roof. Going all the way back to 1880 they've never seen such a huge jump in global heat as they noticed in February. And this follows a record hot 2015. Most of it is concentrated over the Arctic where it is up to between 10 and 15° above normal. The arctic pack ice will melt like crazy this year it looks like.

Below is a link, with heat maps and analysis and graphs. It is pretty interesting and could be a harbinger of things to come.
