You could be right about floatation. But as far as the new Westmore mill site location for galore. It was chosen because there are no real environmental hazard in regard to rivers. The Tailings disposal location is on high ground large enough for 50 years of operation. The present updated Galore LOM is 22 years due to increased mill size.

Schaft Creek deposit & Galore are no farther apart than El Morro And Relincho Plus there is a project right on route between the two (Also formerly owned by Teck) which will resume exploration when ever GCMC decides to proceed with the mill and complete the access road. Studies on the proposed tunnel are in their second year.
Ajax in Kamloops is spread over nearly as great of distance. It has been suggested one mega mill may have a lesser foot print than two that will virtually border each other if the Claims between prove up.

There are three different companies with minable deposits. And quite possible a fourth after further exploration with in a 27 Km radius. Romios covers the south border of Galore Shaft Creek on the North and the former Teck Claims are N/W of the Mill site.
When it all comes together it will truly make a district Elmer suggested.

Compare El Morro & Relincho as what could be done in NW BC

the initial capital cost to bring EM & Relincho into production US$3.5 billion. The feasibility studies of standalone El Morro, and standalone Relincho projects had estimated development costs at US$3.9 billion, and US$4.5 billion, respectively.
