Thanks, David, that's news to most of us, I think, and will be interesting to watch. The VSE is already among the most advanced of all sharemarkets in terms of information clarity, timeliness, and accuracy, both Adrian du Plessis and John Kaiser have commented on that recently. It's certainly the best in Canada in some respects. On the other hand, being a junior capital market it has a sizeable dodgey reputation to overcome, and I believe that what I propose would help it to do that.
Near-real-time quotes on insider trading -- just think, you'd access your Stockwatch account and as a normal part of sussing out the situation before making a trade, you'd click on the "Insider Trading" URL [having paid maybe an extra $9.95 a month for the privilege] and find the up-to-5-minutes-ago market mood of those who know best. Not a difficult thing technologically, nor expensive, right?
It could be a confidence-builder, it could attract capital currently leery of the VSE's well-earned reputation, the idea would be copied elsewhere and the VSE would come across as a leader in a positive way for a change. Maybe...... I dunno, but it strikes me as a thing that is logically inevitable, so let's get on with it.....
Here's the page from the BCSC site regarding the definition of insiders; bcsc.bc.ca ...and you can access the rest of the site from there, it's well laid-out and interesting reading.
David, your Carlson Online URLs at the top of SI threads are extremely useful, may you in return get obscenely rich, spiritually fulfilled, or laid, whatever turns you on ........ Happy New Year ....... marcos |
