I must confess I find a certain appeal to Donald Trump. Yes, he comes across as too much of a jack ass on some things, but I find enough in his talks to find an appeal. But I have 2 big problems with him: (1) His lack of experience in public office and the utter disdain with which politicians of both parties regard him means that he will be a highly ineffective president, even if he wins the election. (2) I don't trust him. He says a lot of wrong things, and a lot of right things, but the common thread between all the things he says is a showmanship and willingness to act in whatever way that wins him the public support. In short, he comes out as all sizzle and no stake. And now, it turns out that he won't even be true to core Republican values. John Oliver's show yesterday did a grate job of highlighting what building the trump wall would mean. I think it is worth watching. And as you do, keep track of how many conservative values it will have to break. I watched the show its, but if you can't get it, here's a start John Oliver Explains Just How Unrealistic Trump's Border Wall Actually Is

And in other news:

Half of all voters said they would be scared if Mr. Trump were elected president, and another 19 percent said they would be concerned. Mrs. Clinton does not fare much better: Thirty-five percent of all voters said they would be scared if Mrs. Clinton won in November, and 21 percent said they would be concerned...Among Democrats, doubts persist about Mrs. Clinton, with 40 percent of her own party’s primary voters saying she is not honest and trustworthy. She is viewed unfavorably by 52 percent of all voters, among the highest percentage since the question was first asked during the 1992 presidential race.

ST

PS I really don't want to see Hillary as the president. But she may turn out to be least disgusting option.
