Jay, I have a question for you regarding Veeco:

What is the main reason that you feel the transition from inductive to magnetoresistive heads will benefit Veeco?

Does Veeco have a lower market share in the inductive head market than the MR market? If Veeco's equipment market share for inductive and MR heads is similar, then Veeco's growth rate will only parallel that of the overall growth rate in head production.

On the other hand, if Veeco has a very low market share in inductive heads but has a new product that makes it a major player in MR heads, then Veeco will grow quickly as MR heads take off.

I'm sure you've covered this some time before, please feel free to direct me to the relavent posts.

Happy new year!!
