MANHASSET, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 29, 1997--

Networking Titles Join CMP's InformationWeek As Members of RCI's Network of Media Partners

CMP's InternetWeek and Network Computing have joined InformationWeek as members of Recourse Communications Inc.'s network of media partners.

With all three of CMP's market-leading enterprise titles now teaming with Recourse, it is easier for companies to advertise their job openings to a large audience of information technology (IT) professionals.

Despite managers' best efforts, reaching qualified IT professionals is becoming more difficult-- and it's getting worse as technologies like Java and the World Wide Web take hold. In particularly short supply are business-savvy IT professionals, according to an InformationWeek survey conducted earlier this year, 57 percent of whom cited this category. The CMP/Recourse partnership helps recruiters fill their IT positions through targeted advertising that reaches qualified candidates that can run either regionally or nationally. Beginning with the January 12 issue of InternetWeek and the February 15 issue of Network Computing, via a single buy, recruiters can advertise their IT openings not only in CMP's three enterprise computing titles, but also across any other media in Recourse Communications' network, which includes the company's own Employment Review magazine, USA Today, Investor's Business Daily, and select Web sites such as Best Jobs USA.

"CMP is dedicated to providing all our advertisers with innovative services," said Jeffrey L. Strief, Senior Vice President/Group Publisher, CMP's Technology Buyers Group. "With all three of our enterprise publications partnering with Recourse, we now provide our recruitment advertisers with greater value because they can customize their advertising to their needs and at the same time reach more qualified IT professionals than before."

"With InternetWeek and Network Computing on board we have added two valuable sources of highly-skilled, sought-after networking/IS professionals. Our relationship with CMP makes our services even stronger than they were before," said Mike Moore, President. Recourse Communications, Inc.

Space in the January 12 issue of InternetWeek closes on January 2, while space in Network Computing's February 15 issue closes on January 28. For further information or to reserve space, advertisers can call Recourse Communications at 561-686-6800.
