I agree that the Nikkei is more likly to get under 14000, but my question is how this will effect the dow (you predict ~1000 point decline in the dow). The urgency by financial institutions in Japan
to liquidate, was an important contributor to the 1000 point decline in the Dow IMO. But now that the rulles are changed, they might just
hold their security assets when the Nikkei gets bellow the 14000 treshold, and the reduced downword presure on the Dow could prevent it from declining as low as you predict.
