It's the same case for my parents immigrating here.

No one should be favored or excluded based on their religion, ethnicity, etc. If they want to come here, work here, and become productive members of American society, then I for one would welcome them.

pathetically naive and idealistic......yet typical for you.. By your standards, you would welcome half the world. Do you realize, the standard is how the US benefits.....not the immigrant.......now try hard to answer all of my questions........Why have Muslim immigrants been so favored over all others in the past few years? Why would we favor Muslim immigration from Muslim dominated countries when Christians are the persecuted and threatened minority? Aren't you a christian? Why should Obama who hates this country have virtual control of immigration into this country? How is it less American for someone who has the best interests in this country to REVERSE these Obama policies? You make it sound like it's some kind of right for millions of immigrants to pour in every year. It is not and for long periods in our history has not been either,. :Learn some history. Do you know the % of Muslims immigrants that go on food stamps.....welfare.....medicaid....etc...........and it's largely a PERMANENT process? Why will the Govt not release how many green cards were issued to Muslims the last two years? The fact is Muslims have been the FAVORED immigrant class for quite a while. So just getting it back into balance means cutting off Muslim immigration for quite a few years. I'm tired of your simplistic pie in the sky rationalizations for critical complex issues. Notice I didn't even get into the terrorist issue or the complete incompatibility of sharia law (which about half of American Muslims favor) with our Constitution. I don't give a rat's ass about your ethnicity, religion or that your parents were immigrants. My mother was an immigrant as well. I'm an atheist by the way. Sorry to say I can learn virtually nothing from your posts........BYE.
