| | | Thanks rx, As far as Goldquest goes a friend of mine in Sabastian Inlet and I had been talking about it before aknahow had mentioned it here on the thread with his prediction in Nov.last year that MUX was going to buy it and it was going to happen very soon. Just search Goldquest or GQC on this board to find that debate if interested.
If your thinking of investing in Gold Quest don't let the following discourage you, as I like the company and think Romero has potential, just a little gun shy after seeing what happened at Phoenix.
My buddy posts on another board, and I had met him half way in Melbourne, Fl and had lunch. And at the time he said there was some talk about how Bill Fisher and his president and CEO Julio Espailate were not very forthcoming about VMS a Romero. Volcanogenic Massive Sulphide (VMS).
My friend is invested, but waiting for the new PFS, as am I before Investing. RM did not participate in the latest PP, that I know of, and he to maybe waiting on the New PFS.
If RM buys more or doubles what he has, we know what that would probably mean. Until that time I'm not totally convinced of anything. Perhaps the new PFS will help.
My friend had talked to someone who had said that Bill and Julio aren't totally sold that Romero is VMS as they did not see a lot of textures you would expect, though they do think its something very closely related, maybe a VMS style occurrence that did not quite get all the way to the seafloor. In terms of many other things, especially the high grade gold content and relative lack of Lead and Zinc it does seem to fit the gold rich VMS model that Eskay is believed to be part of and he was pressing the to be a little less coy about it.
I had done some research and found a Conference Paper on Romero (Linked Below) And the last paragraph does mention my doubts and probably why another PFS is being done. Originally I thought it would be complete by May/June but in the interview with Bill you linked, when I heard it last week, I believe Bill said not until the end of this year.....
Their recent Surveys seemed worth the cost.
IF any one is interested in Gold Quest, I have a little more info, just post or send me a Private message. It's been about 6 months since I read up on VMS, but probably have the info somewhere on my PC to review.
Take the above with a grain of salt, it's just my Opinion based on my DD, someone else may see things very different.
You can Download the Conference Paper here: The Romero Cu-Au-Zn Deposits, Cordillera Central, Dominican Republic: Preliminary Data on the Mineralogy and Geochemistry of Mineralization
I took a 4 hour drive south to Naples, FL for Easter, relaxing, although the Humidity is high here, reminds me of what I have to look forward to in May and June. Blah.
For those who still have snow, my apologies.
