The only possible reason that I can think of as this NOT being a good short is that DEC may purchase the company. This is a rumor that I have heard floating around here in the Boston area. NOTE: I have no knowledge if this is a good rumor or not!. I dislike dealing in rumors and if anyone has better information about this please post it. The only support I have for this is that DEC has a LOT of cash at present amounting to some 3.4B. BTW, DEC's market CAP is only around $5B.( Asset sales to Intel and Cabletron have recently boosted their cash) DEC also has a real world class System Integration business that ALCY could fit into. Again, just rumor and I will continue to do more research into this. Bob T.
