Bingo! Very good. How can you come like a thief in the night....
and be seen by every human on earth? How can you be commanded to begin to pray at that time you see things going into the dumpster on a terminal basis, according to prophecy, that as things appear to be reaching a boiling point "you will be accounted worthy at that time to "escape" these things and rejoice! But at the same time realize that all you are really looking at is being tortured to death by satanists and roasting, starving, and being horribly diseased. Like James says, this is not something to rejoice over. And then John suddenly sees a huge crowd in heaven BEFORE anything at all is done to the Earth, and they are all leaping for joy and praising god for coming out of great tribulationo. THen you never see the word tribulation again. That is in chapter 7 of Rev. Then you never see the word again.
I personoally worry a lot more about the man who brought a vague reference in Thessalonians to everyones mind and set it there in stone which to me has never made a bit of sense and just talks about the utter end of the earth, period.
That is why I posted on Jesus Financial and it was obviously ignored, which is o.k., I sure don't see myself as some kind oof doctrine changer, but it showed me this issue is so clouded that if God set us in a circle and spoke very slowly, most people would blurt: But what about the sentence in Thessalonaians?
So, I just hope, and perhaps I will doo it myself, that a coherent study of the other side oof the two things that contradict each other can be studied and if nothing more we would then understand the contradictions more than washing them away with some sentence in Thessalonians, that I have heard quoted for 20 years now. |
