why did Clinton & Obama do essentially the same thing in Libya.... Her rationale is public record, Arab Spring was in full bloom, she took her shot. Obama's instincts were to hold off. Many admins have tried their hand at 'nation bulilding' so stop your finger pointing. Between Iraq & Libya we are talking magnitudes of expenditure & failure makes the latter insignificant. A better reason ( rather than partisan hacking), try pointing finger at behind scenes 'experts' that act as advisers, the ones who've been wrong in foreign policy for decades...and this fact of record.
