my take

(1) impossible now to consistently make money from money, whereas earlier the game is more playable

(2) whatever coming our way is more likely to be defining, for all the marbles win or lose, and for keeps, and if played wrong, recovery can only be by accident

(3) we shall learn a lot, and very exciting
