Charles, you don't know me but I was lurking around trying to find someone who could answer a tax loss related question for me, so here goes.
I bought a stock in my IRA account on 12/4/97. In another non IRA account I own the same stock which I suddenly would like to sell for a tax loss. Does the fact that these are different unrelated accounts make this a doeable transaction?
I appreciate your reply if you can.

Regards,
Bob Myers
