I don't think the entire state can smoke our way out of the decline in oil prices. I am only talking about Juneau, which is a story unto itself. In Juneau we are so small, and we have so little land left and we are so connected as a regional center and as a bedroom community of the Pacific Northwest, it looks like we're going to be fine no matter what happens. We've already lost a couple of hundred jobs, but as I keep saying our housing market is hot as a pistol. But I do expect trouble in places like Anchorage and Fairbanks and the rest of the state for that matter. I think Juneau is going to turn out to be a different story because the micro economics is different than the rest of the state.
