Somebody needs to tell this guy that the company went public and that he made that decision. Having pointed that out, it needs to be explained that incompetent people must be moved forward in a more positive direction for their own good and for the good of the company. In other words, terminate him. Somebody has to come to grips with the fact that this isn't Microsoft's fault or Sun's fault; it's Corel's fault. He can't continue to use Microsoft as a sheild for his own incompetence. Not only does he lack any leadership qualities, he is a snivelling, grovelling weenie who spends half his energy blaming others and the other half wasting other people's money on whatever happends to interest him. This isn't an experiment, it's a public company that needs to set rational, achievable goals. Who is he going to blame for the failure of their NC product? Does any rational thinking person think they can compete with IBM, Sun, Wyse and several dozen other low-cost, high-volume, high-quality computer and terminal vendors? NC hardware is nothing more than a reconfigured PC and this guy wants to hold one up and say "Look what I made ma!" |
