It happened here in my own back yard, at Kaypro. Someone at Kaypro shipped $millions worth of memory chips to a dummy Co. which later diappeared when the dust settled and left Fujitsu holding the bag. Yes, the management is probably innocent of all wrongdoing and that's frightening. It takes relatively little skill to manage in a high-growth industry such as the internet. That is until you grow to the point that you are forced to get a lot more people involved in the day-to-day affairs.
