Pragmatism is based on utilitarianism and the later is not subject to proof
On the contrary, utilitarianism is based on maximizing utility, which is indeed measurable based on whatever standard you define.
The Utilitarian argument set forth by Trump is that the welfare of the American worker should have greater consideration than the worker in China. The profits of multinational Corporations will take a back seat here because the individual working American is superior to the multinational corporation.
Just because you say that the American worker should have "greater consideration" than the worker in China is meaningless. You actually need to come up with a pragmatic solution to the fundamental problem, which is that the Chinese worker will produce just as much as the American worker for much less.

I could bring up what the late Andy Grove wrote in a newspaper column as an example of pragmatism. I could also bring up an analogy that is going on in Italy.

But I don't think you have the mental capacity to understand, given your obvious dodging of my questions.
