Official China policy promotes switch to a consumption-based economy. How can they accomplish this? Look at the USA for clues...

Americans are spendthrifts who borrow money from China to pay for the stuff we buy from them. We have big houses with lots of closets, shelf space, and multi-car garages to store all the stuff we buy. When that fills up, we take our excess stuff to a rental storage unit! ;)
