On World Trade.. I've searched through the US Commerce Dept site for regional trade summaries and was unable to find a simplified breakdown. However, the following site has some interesting projections: exportcentral.com

SURPRISING ASIAN MARKET
FACTS

The GNP of Pacific Rim Economies will total an
estimated $13 trillion by the year 2000 (twice the GNP
of a unified Europe)!
In less than 10 years, six of the ten largest cities in the
world will be on Pacific shores; none will be in Europe.
Asian customers will outnumber all others by the year
2000.
Despite the misconceptions, Asian customers prefer
certain USA products.
Asian countries compete with each other for rights to
sell many USA products.
At present, Japan imports more products from the USA
than from any other single nation.
60% of the products exported by the USA to Japan are
manufactured items.
Many other countries are quietly making great efforts
to become Asia's prime trading partners.
"Pachinko", the Japanese version of pinball, is growing
FAST. Pachinko racks up gargantuan receipts of 30.4
trillion yen ($286 billion USD) per year! This leaves
even the 14 trillion yen ($132 billion USD) Japanese
auto industry in the dust.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

At this site, Table 2 is interesting, because it points out that
Hong Kong and Korea are surplus trading partners. With the currency
debacle this situation will no doubt go negative for the US.
