GOP Train Wreck Helps Make Obama’s Approval Rating Soar (VIDEO)
March 30, 2016Chris Hearn Politics

THE REPUBLICAN TRAIN WRECK IS MAKING OBAMA LOOK BETTER AND BETTER TO AMERICANS

It’s no secret that this election season in the U.S. has been brutally stupid, with the Republican Party turning democracy into a circus side-show/cage fighting event. It’s been, to say the least, pathetic that the world’s only Superpower is becoming defined by the lowest common denominator, which is Donald Trump and increasingly Ted Cruz.

But there is one person who is benefiting from all the madness and that is the current guy in charge, President Barack Obama. He’s sitting pretty these days as his approval rating just keeps on growing. The famed pollsters over at Gallup have been keeping tabs on the love and hate Obama is getting and at the moment it is sitting at a 52-week high of 53 percent, with 70 percent of his approval coming from 18 to 29 year olds and a staggering 92 percent approval among African-Americans.

As the Independent points out, Obama has been able to bring 13 million Americans away from the dark side, raising his approval from his lowest point of 40 percent in December 2013.

Who else will benefit from this good news? Come November, it could very well be the Democrats. Who better to ask in these matters than a political scientist? So, Vox talked to one and this is what Alan Abramowitz said.

“This is potentially very significant for the November election because much research, including my own, has found that the president’s approval rating is a key predictor of the election results even when the president is not on the ballot. Thus a very unpopular George W. Bush probably doomed John McCain to defeat in 2008 no matter what happened during the campaign that year. A 53-44 approval-disapproval balance would give Democrats a good shot at keeping the White House even if they were not running against a badly divided Republican Party led by perhaps the most unpopular nominee in decades.”
What? Is Abramowitz implying that the mighty Donald Trump isn’t as mighty as he and his supporters believe he is? Blasphemy!

Another plus for Obama is the fact that at the moment, the economy is in not too bad of shape. It seems that in the 8 years that Obama has been president he was able to pull America out of the deep, dangerous economic hole that it ended up in by the time George W. Bush left office. That’s a good thing.

As Rachel Maddow points out for MSNBC things are looking up for Americans with gas prices being so low, high employment numbers and the fact that Obamacare, which is so deeply hated by Republicans, has helped so many Americans get affordable health care.

On the other end, who is suffering greatly at the moment? Congress. It seems that Americans absolutely hate Congress at the moment, receiving a paltry 15 percent approval rating according to a CNN poll. Wow. Americans really are dissatisfied with what they are seeing go on at the Republican dominated political entity.

It’s safe to say that after 8 years of Republicans mouthing off about how horrible of a President they thought Obama was that they were painfully wrong. Obama has done good by America and America is happy about it. And with Donald Trump and Ted Cruz battling it out for the Republican Presidential nomination it’s clear that the Republicans are STILL out to lunch when it comes to what Americans want and need.
