Doug: I jsut q'ed Esteban re same: My friend at PaineWebber says that because settlements take three days, the 31st is not a tax-selling day after all. If true, that bollixes my plans for the day. My broker tells me to call my accountant, my accountant's answering machine says call me in January. If you're talking to your broker before then, could you ask him about it. BTW: Esteban points out that the 23rd was super high-volume. That weakens the signal somewhat, no? Ivan PS: My no-fail bull index (new highs v new lows) tells me today's NAZ rally is weak.
