Jim, Welcome back... I am glad to hear that computer sales are up.. IMHO, I think that the slow down in computer sales is due to Intel. let me explain. Intel decided to kill AMD and Cyrix but speeding up it introlduction of faster chips... So the fast introduction of 130 and 150 MHz chips has caused a drop in the lower speed chips, but at the same time it caused confusion in the marketplace and my have hurt sales. I, for one, wanted to upgrade my computer but everything seemed to be in flux and with such a fast moving technology I decided to wait before I buy. Even though I don't need the fastest chip, I decided to wait because the presence of a faster chip was causing a significant drop in the 100 MHz and lower chips. As thinks stabilize people will go out and buy new computers (which is occuring now based on your report) and we shall see happy days again. I hope. As DD would say: keep in mind this is one man's opinion.
