Having grown up in a southern state and attended college and graduate school with many Jewish American intellectuals, politicians and business leaders, I was really shocked to find their children really despised and looked down on the value of Asian lives and culture. These children uttered truly ugly venom against Asians
in my presence, talking constantly about bombing China into the Stone Ages with B-52s with the same passion as talking baseball statistics.
Later when I went to work for a leading consulting company in Maryland, I got to know Israeli engineers who I thought would be cosmopolitan and embrace all world cultures. When I went to their Temple after
one of them collapsed playing basketball, I discovered they were even more prejudiced against Asians than the Jewish American students I went to school and college with.
Senator Bernard Sanders fits closely the sociological profile of these students I grew up with. So, that is why Senators Sanders talks tough against Asian presence in world technology markets , I dread that he may ultimately turn to war in Asia as a means to unite popular opinion behind him
I have two nieces who are Jewish American and graduated from a top Ivy League University with highest honors.
