What do you think C.H.? Is it a joke?

NEW YORK, Dec 28 (Reuters) - 3Com Corp (NASDAQ:COMS), Netscape
Communications Corp (NASDAQ:NSCP) and First Data (NYSE:FDC) figured
among a list of companies dubbed potential winter winners in
the current issue of Barron's financial weekly.
The list was composed by Jeff Warantz, a senior analyst at
Salomon Smith Barney, and identifies "beaten-down equities that
appear to be fundamentally attractive," the article said.
The prices of underperforming equities sometimes dip
further towards the end of the calendar year as investors turn
to tax-loss selling to offset capital gains, the article said.
Such stocks then create potential bargains for Januaryinvestment.
Warantz's list consists of stocks whose shares are more
than 20 percent below their two-year average price and are
rated buy or outperform by Salomon Smith Barney.
Besides predominant technology stocks, restaurateur Planet
Hollywood International Inc (NYSE:PHL), eyeware retailer Sunglass
Hut International Inc (NASDAQ:RAYS) and online grocery and delivery
company Peapod Inc (NASDAQ:PPOD) were also named.

My guess is: Leo works for Smith and Barnie or at least used to work for Salomon :), set of indicators isn't enough to predict key reversal!
Michael.

P.S. What is amazing that NSCP rising under tremendous selling pressure, MMs covering clients sales immidietly, so they expect another burst up. Another observation: NSCP always closed gaps up, I don't think it's going to happen this time.
