Actually the "losing" began on Hatim's watch,

where unfortunately the the company took action against Cisco (Radiata) before Cisco had begun to produce and sell any products based on the W-OFDM patent...

and the case was thrown out of court... leaving Wi-Lan to pay costs, which it could ill afford at that time.

so there is no way of determining if Hatim would have gotten his 25 cents per chip... it is really too bad that he made a fatal (timing) mistake.

"Win" is a relative term, as Intel chose to settle before their trial began.

I have no way of determining what the contract with Intel amounted to, and doubt that you do either...

but the preceding is based on historical facts.
