I see another favorite of retail investors fell to recapitalization. MBC has destroyed retail shareholders with their deal, yet the faithful thought this would end well and have been posting for months as the company stalled with the news.

I realize CUU is nowhere near to the state MBC is so recap here is probably just dilution and further deterioration of shareholder value, but my point is that retail shareholders that are "sunny" about a companies prospects just as often get steamrolled.

The lesson I take (and why I follow stories like MBC but don't invest) is that the outcome is usually obvious for a long time coming, if only you can clear your eyes to see it. I think we can all agree that in hindsight, most of the outcome of the SC BFS was evident well in advance, and similarly, the trajectory of the JV and Teck's intentions has been utterly clear if you strip away all the speculation on these boards.
