Probably - had a Japanese girlfriend in LA that would only have her hair cut by Asians in Beverly Hills on Rodeo drive. Told me "white" people just don't know how to cut Asian hair. My wife (Japanese) commented, that she tend to agree. "The Japanese hair is thicker and straight, almost never with a natural curl, and besides the cut, Japanese women mostly want a permanent curl added to their thicker straight hair". That said, My wife hasn't seen an Asian haircutter since we moved out of San Diego 12 years ago. Her coiffeur there was Vietnamese, and BTW, a very nice person too. /Taro
