So? It isn't like a nominee is guaranteed approval. Bork was far from the first to be turned downed. One of the issues that the Democrats didn't like, Bork as Nixon's hatchet man, turned out to be a bribe that Nixon offered. A bribeable USSC justice seems like a bad choice.


The Democrats were doing the exact same thing for Bush's nominees, and not because any of them were unqualified.


No. The Democrats filibustered only a fraction of what the Republicans did. Look up the numbers if you don't believe me. It wasn't the exact same thing at all.
