Petrochemical investment boom vs fossil fuel bans

An article I read this morning announced a new petrochemical plant in the Houston area which will produce windshield safety glass and laundry and dishwasher detergent pods. It also noted that between 2010 and 2023 there either have been or will be 226 new petrochemical projects in the US, 104 of those in TX. Mostly resulting from the natural gas shale boom.

Just thought I'd mention that this is all stuff green fossil fuel banners think we can and should do away with.
