Anyone who does not question what they read is a fool! The internet has nothing to do with it. I have made some of my best trades questioning popular opinion.

I wish I had time to offer better evidence for my China statements but I am on vacation and don't have all of the links that I keep on my home machine with me. I don't try to justify everything that I say, but important issues like deficits, international currency flows and economic fundamentals are valuable to everyone so I don't mind posting my sources. One at least one occasion an important error in one of my sources was pointed out to me. It changed my view on a matter that proved financially rewarding.

I for one am often wrong. I hope that through intelligent discourse I can refine and improve my thinking even if I don't change my mind. For example Zeev and I have different views about the current market - he hasn't changed my mind but he has forced me to examine my views more closely than I would have otherwise. I probably have not changed his mind either but I hope that he feels that he has benefited from the exchange. The problem with economics and finance is that there is no clear black and white answer. The many shades of gray need to be examined without personal bias - a very difficult task indeed.
