Somebody needs to get let go .Plain and simple. Its not the government officials job at the MTO to over see every single mineral claim that expires to check or remind parties thereof. There are paragraphs explaining where the responsibility lies and procedures to follow,They were not followed.Period. So now the Gold commissioner is faced with a decision to support this negligence and go against the rules and policies they are governed by or let the rules work as they were written. Originally I was thinking it might be 50/50 they get it back. But I am leaning more to 30/70 for now.....My guess is all parties might be trying to work out a amicable deal.....IE Carmax buying the interest from the two parties for XYZ with a little nudge from MTO office.Maybe as a sign of good faith all employees CEO's of Carmax could garnish their salaries for as long as needed to cover the needed dollars. My guess there will be a few articles over the weekend on this one making light of the screwup.
