Acme Widget exists to make money for their owners by sating consumer desires for widgets. If they saturate their market their social obligation is to find new endeavors in making others better off or return capital to their shareholders for consumption or other profit seeking endeavors. That is the bootstrap procedure that dragged us out of the Hobbesian nighntmare
