PV's do generate power from the sun, but PV's are also made using FF's out of materials mined and refined using FF's and are transported and installed using FF's. Using solar panels doesn't mean you don't need FF's ... without FF's there are no solar panels.

Here in Washington State the high energy content materials are refined with energy from Hydropower But everywhere else high energy content materials are refined using FF's.

The sun's energy is concentrated in oil, natural gas, and coal. By entirely natural processes.
