Yes; if a soldier dies, he gets covered by snow. That says nothing about whether or not the glacier is gaining or losing mass.

Take an educated F'n guess. If a soldier dies and gets covered up by snow THAT DOES NOT MELT but gets incorporated into a glacier that also is not melting if the snow doesn't melt.............

What is your best guess what the glacier is doing? Melting and retreating?
