From my understanding, Neural Nets are most effective with stocks which are actively traded and which have lots of history. Intraday trading might prove difficult because of the frequency of activity and the spread of daily highs and lows. Someone else might be able to offer more highlights on intraday trading, etc.

I would love to try a generic algorithim based neural net program if offered the opportunity but they are so expensive.
