I never expected that smelter to be built in Capreol. I know the area well enough to have seen the writing on that wall. As to opening up the ROF, however - that's a political question more than anything else. And yes, I agree that it's going to happen in our lifetime IF a number of things line up (and they seem to be lining up) ... concern for the natives, big spending liberals (Federally) and kiss ass liberals (Provincially), the need to throw a bone to the North.

When I first saw that Sudbury Rag article, I figured having the Chinese on board is a good piece of the puzzle. It claims China needs those resources - I don't know enough about China's natural resources to know if that's true or not, but it seems to make sense. As to NOT - hmm. Not sure. I won't be throwing any money up there in the foreseeable future. But I am watching.
