If your house is the center of the safety zone, then you should feel safer to live in your community. When houses aren't close together, there is more chance of burglary, etc, so if they see police cares, etc, the bad guys will know to leave you alone.

I guess it doesn't matter, our houses are close together and our neighborhood has been broken into many times. Just a month ago, someone made a sweep of all the cars in the neighborhood. They broke into mine, but all I had was gum..no Biggy. The men were the ones who had the most stuff stolen. I guess the women carry all of their important things in their purse, while the men just throw their stuff around.
