Max--A/D ratings in IBD measure accumulation and distribution, i.e., buying and selling in a stock. The A rating indicates that there is a high level of accumulation, etc.. The exact formula is a proprietary indicator of IBD. Others might have more detailed info, but this is my understanding of the indicators. Myron
