Well, lots going on here. Been agonizing over a decision to change jobs. I love where I am, but we are literally running out of work.

I told my boss this.

I was approached with a job offer. I was not in the market, no resumes on the street, no questions, no nothing. Just head down working. I get a few e-mails, never spoke to the guy. Next thing I know I have an offer in writing, raise and signing bonus. All without interviewing.

So, I went an talked to the guy. Major project. I am lead. 4 years of work, with every expectation it will extend to 10 years.

Back to boss, long talk. Counteroffer. Still no work at all past June.

I took the step and accepted new offer. Lots of soul searching, praying talking with family, mom dad and brothers. All took new job as things happening "for a reason."

May 2 I start a new career path at 50 years 6 months old. Wish me luck.

Hoping the path I took was the correct path being offered.......
