The "invasion" of Ft Sumter was a retreat. The Union troops were already at nearby Ft Moultrie and retreated to Ft Sumter.

The Union troops had orders to fire only in self defense. The Union commander at Sumter had said he'd surrender when his garrison ran out of food, projected for April 15. But SC attacked 4:30 am on the 12th.

I understand Trump folks hate Lincoln because Seward had more delegates, though not a majority. Seward was a NYer too.

If Trump gets elected, the Lincoln Memorial will be converted to the Trump Memorial with a larger gold plated statue of Donald J Trump. Donald, Melania and Ivanka (who he lusts after), and the lesser children will be put on the nation's bills. The Statue of Liberty will be renovated to bear Ivanka's likeness.
