Talk about being an idiot... What you say was correct. Note the 'was'. Things have changed as volume ramps up. Tesla became profitable in excess of credits in 2015. Well, the first quarter was in 2014. That could have been a fluke, but 2015 showed it wasn't. Now to be clear, I am talking about the cars. The investment in the Gigafactory has pulled the company into operating at a loss. But that is only temporary as it is producing products now even as it isn't finished. Not only is it producing products, it has a significant order backlog. I noticed you didn't mention SpaceX or SolarCity. That was wise.
