Re Bears vs Bulls: Neither the eloquence of the argument nor the degree to which it coincides with one's own sentiments necessarily makes it correct. Usually a very good time to buy stocks is during the blackest moment. What could be worse than a World Wide Recession that makes the 30s look like a picnic? ... numerous news clipping testifying that no chipmaker anywhere in the universe will ever buy another piece of chipmaking gear or build another fab? If the November 96 to this fall increase taught us anything, it was that "when the turnaround comes, it will be sudden, swift and dramatic." JMHO, Ian.
